I can provide in-home service of large appliances including refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, and dishwashers. I may be able to help with other electrical machines as well, please contact me with details.

Availability is currently limited to Central Vermont towns of Calais, Woodbury, Worcester, East Montpelier, and Plainfield.

Here’s how it works:

I have a $90 site visit fee (due at the time of initial visit) that covers inspection and up to an hour of repair time. If the unit cannot be repaired in an hour, or requires parts replacement, I’ll provide you with an estimate to complete the repair. Parts are typically a week away, as I don’t keep many in stock.

I’m typically generous with my time – meaning I’m not watching the clock for every billable minute, and I don’t go by whatever “the book” says. I try to provide a service that is fair and honest for all. While the initial fee may seem high, please understand that it takes a fair amount of time to research problems, find parts, and prepare estimates. This is time spent that you don’t see happen at your home. I show up with 30 years of experience and an investment in tools to get the job done right. All my work has a 30 day guarantee.

If you’d like to schedule an in-home repair, please contact me with the make, model, approximate age of the unit (photo of the ID tag is best), and the symptoms. These things help to streamline the repair and reduce cost. I’ll be in touch to schedule a visit asap after receiving the info.

You can help minimize cost and keep your technician happy by preparing the equipment and the space so that it is a ready work zone. This means cleaning the appliance and the area around, under, and behind it. The appliance will need to be moved, and there should be enough clearance to do so. Pets will need to be kept away from the work area.
